Energy drink brand Red Bull has been revealed as Leeds United's new shirt sponsor after the brand purchased a minority stake in the club.
With Red Bull continuing to grow the already massive sporting arm of their global franchise, they are set to grace the front of the Whites' kit from the start of next season.
Announced as part of a new collaboration that also sees Red Bull become Leeds' official energy drink partner, this is the multinational conglomerate's first foray into English football.
The Austrian company already owns other teams like native RB Salzburg, RB Leipzig in Germany and the New York Red Bulls in the US, among various other partnerships across various disciplines, and now Leeds is the latest in the portfolio.
Leeds United is proud to announce a new multi-year agreement with Red Bull, making them the club’s front of shirt partner starting next season
Although the full terms of the "multi-year agreement", the minority deal is said to be one of the biggest in EFL history and sees yet another chapter of ownership for the Champinship club after they were bought up by 49ers Enterprises in July 2023.
As explained in an official statement from the club: "Beginning in the 2024/2025 season, Leeds United will feature Red Bull branding on the front of Leeds United men’s and women’s first team kits.
"Red Bull will also become the club’s Exclusive Energy Drink Partner with branding featured inside Elland Road and during the club's official media appearances."
The iconic brand isn't the only new source of backing over at Elland Road either, as earlier this month actor and LA FC owner Will Ferrell became the latest celebrity to tie his name to the Yorkshire side.
Although the club has assured fans they will not be adding the usual 'RB' prefix to their name, the arrival of Red Bull's investment hasn't gone down well with everyone.
While the domestic and continental progress of their counterparts, in particular, has got many fans excited about not just returning to the Premier League and consolidating their position in the top flight but maybe even Europe, others are less optimistic.
You only have to check the comments below the announcement to see what many are saying: "So lads we are the most hated club in the country, we need to take it to the next level!! Let's get in someone who are one of the most hated owners in Europe!!
What do you make of it, Whites - just happy to see more money being pumped into the club or is a big multinational like this getting involved a concern for you?
